About The Position
St. Cabrini Nursing Home is a 304-bed, faith-based nonprofit facility providing short-term rehabilitation and skilled geriatric care. The facility was founded in 1974 and continues St. Frances Xavier Cabrini’s legacy of service through healing, teaching, caring, and giving. The role is part-time and pays $24.29 per hour, with an additional 10% shift differential for evening and night shifts. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care, responds to care requests, assists with personal care and meals, performs limited nursing procedures under proper instruction and supervision, records vital signs and intake and output, collects specimens, and supports nurses with treatments and examinations. Requirements
- Current New York Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Current CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- Long-term care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls for care to determine residents’ needs.
- Bathe, dress, and undress residents.
- Serve and collect food trays, confirm diet orders, and assist residents during mealtimes.
- Transport residents to and from the dining room.
- Perform limited nursing procedures with proper instruction and supervision.
- Take and record vital signs; measure and record intake and output; collect specimens; and perform other tasks.
- Assist staff nurses with treatments and examinations.
