About The Position

BrightStar Care of Lawrenceville is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide quality in-home care to a client in Cumming, Georgia. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, at $20.00 per hour, paid weekly.

The CNA will assist the client with activities of daily living and personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and mobility. The role also includes transfers using a Hoyer lift, skin and oral care, companionship, light housekeeping, and other care outlined in the client's Plan of Care. The CNA will observe and report changes in the client's condition, maintain a safe and comfortable environment, follow care plans and applicable policies, and protect client privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Dependable, compassionate, patient, and attentive to client needs.
• Ability to work independently while following the established care plan.

Nice To Haves

• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience.
• Experience with Hoyer lift transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the client with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Safely assist with transfers using a Hoyer lift in accordance with training and the care plan.
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment.
• Follow the established Plan of Care and all applicable policies and procedures.
• Protect client privacy and maintain confidentiality.
• Perform light housekeeping and additional care as outlined in the client's Plan of Care.
