About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs duties supporting the treatment and care of patients and residents in accordance with established methods and procedures. The role is carried out under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the Assistant Nurse Manager, as well as the RNs and LPNs on duty. The position is onsite at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, New York, with a day shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and work every other weekend. The disclosed pay range is $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus benefits.

Requirements

NYS CNA certification.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Patient care experience.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, morning and evening care, oral care, grooming, comfort measures, and other general care throughout the shift.
Help prepare the unit, patient and resident rooms, and beds for admissions, transfers, discharges, and emergencies.
Obtain and document vital signs and blood sugar readings.
Prepare and assist patients with meals and nourishment, and distribute and offer assistance with drinking water and other nourishment.
Support nursing staff by responding promptly to call bells and stocking rooms and carts.
Report abnormal findings to nursing staff.
Promote patients’ and residents’ quality of life and rights, including privacy and confidentiality.
Document appropriately and thoroughly in the EMR and/or Point Click Care.
