About The Position

Right at Home Palm Beach is seeking compassionate, caring, and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide in-home care to patients in Lake Worth, Florida. This position requires weekend work and a Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Caregivers help patients with activities of daily living, meal preparation, errands and medical appointments, and light housekeeping. They also provide patient-specific support such as hospice supportive care, medication reminders, exercises, and incontinence care. The role may involve using lifting equipment, including gait belts and Hoyer lifts.

Requirements

CNA license or HHA certificate; HHAs must have a Palm Beach County badge.
Valid driver license or state photo ID.
A second form of identification, such as an SSN, passport, or voter registration card.
Auto insurance.
Vehicle registration.
CPR card; online classes are not accepted.
TB test or chest X-ray.
Level 2 fingerprint background check.
Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with Medications CEU.
One letter of recommendation.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal hygiene, ambulation and transfers, dressing, and shaving.
Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
Accompany patients on errands or to medical appointments.
Perform housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping, washing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
Provide hospice supportive care as needed.
Give medication reminders.
Assist patients with exercises.
Provide incontinence care.
Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
