About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal care to promote and maintain patients’ physical comfort, working under the supervision and delegation of registered nursing staff. The role also includes sitter duties. This is a 24-hour-per-week position on a 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m. schedule, with rotating weekends and holidays. Staff may be floated to areas where they are needed. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, which governs compensation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency, or enrollment in a cooperative education program with successful completion of a high school diploma within six months.
- Current Massachusetts Certified Nurse Assistant license, EMT license, or current enrollment in a nursing program with sufficient clinical rotation hours.
- Excellent organizational skills and a work pace suitable for a busy acute care unit.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire.
- Staff must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of Certified Nursing Assistant experience.
