About The Position

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Unity Living Center, you will provide high-quality, individualized patient care in collaboration with the nursing team. Taking initiative while assisting residents and maintaining patient care is critical to the success of the team. The role is in Long Term Care at Unity Living Center in Rochester, New York, and is scheduled for 37.5 hours per week on the day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an every-other-weekend rotation.

Requirements

• Completion of a New York State-approved certified nursing assistant program.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be registered as a Certified Nurse Aide in New York State.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist residents with activities as specified in individualized care plans.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed and provide leisure activities as needed.
• Perform evaluations and report findings.
• Provide emotional support to residents and their families.
• Help maintain a clean and safe resident environment.
• Support families and direct them to appropriate professional staff.
• Respond to resident requests in a timely manner.
• Receive and give reports to team members and team leaders.
