About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent patient care. This is a full-time day-shift position at Select Specialty Hospital - Daytona Beach, scheduled 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience of at least 3 years.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field, such as medical assistant or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
