About The Position
Fairmount Homes is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time, day shift position. This role involves providing the highest standard of care for elderly residents on a beautiful 50+ acre campus in rural Ephrata, PA. The position emphasizes collaboration with other professional caregivers and a commitment to enriching the lives of residents and their families, founded on Christ’s love and Mennonite values.
Requirements
- Must have CNA certification or in the process of obtaining certification
- Required current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania
- Have a sincere desire to work with older adults and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of others.
- Kind, respectful, patient and cheerful when engaging with residents, co-workers, families, and community.
- Demonstrate a sincere teamwork approach to resident care.
- Support the mission, philosophy and values of Fairmount.
Responsibilities
- Assist each resident with activities of daily living. This includes eating, bathing, elimination, ambulation, and positioning according to policy.
- Report pertinent information and/or changes in residents' conditions promptly to the charge nurse.
- Obtain vital signs, weights, calorie counts, intake, and output accurately.
- Present each resident with a clean and neat appearance.
