About The Position

Visiting Angels San Angelo is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to provide in-home support to seniors and others in need throughout the Concho Valley. The role combines companionship with practical assistance, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, mobility assistance, and transportation. Caregivers may also have opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

A passion for serving others and a true caregiver disposition.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate manner.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and in the community, including trips to appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
