About The Position

Otterbein is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/STNA) to provide person-centered care in its communities and small house neighborhoods. The role supports residents’ comfort, independence, and daily choices while delivering compassionate, high-quality care under a nurse’s supervision. Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities are available across first, second, and third shifts. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, increasing with experience, with shift differentials of $3.00 for second shift and $1.50 for third shift.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) certification required in the State of Ohio.
• Must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
• Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use proper lifting techniques and lift equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, eating, walking, and hair care.
• Provide a range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
• Help residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible in their daily lives.
• Complete care documentation accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
• Plan and cook residents’ favorite foods and share meals with them.
• Perform laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
