About The Position

Otterbein is seeking skilled, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/STNA) to provide person-centered care in its communities and small-house neighborhoods. The role supports residents’ daily needs while honoring their choices and helping them feel comfortable and as independent as possible. CNAs provide support services under a nurse’s supervision and contribute to a compassionate, collaborative care environment. The position is available full time, part time, and PRN, with first-, second-, and third-shift options. Starting pay is $17.00 and increases with experience. Shift differentials are $3.00 for second shift and $1.50 for third shift.

Requirements

Hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) certification in the State of Ohio.
Pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
Have good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Be able to use proper lift techniques and lift equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily tasks such as bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
Provide support services under the supervision of a nurse.
Help residents feel comfortable and maintain as much independence as possible in their daily lives.
Complete care documentation accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
Plan and cook residents’ favorite foods and share meals with them.
Perform laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
