About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Nursing Administration Department is an unlicensed assistive person who helps with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The CNA works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Paradise Valley Hospital is a 291-bed acute care hospital and a member of Prime Healthcare. The hospital provides acute rehabilitation, spine and joint care, cardiac catheterization, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, emergency care, and behavioral health services.
Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained as current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office is preferred.
- Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintained current, per facility requirement.
