CNA - Evenings(40 hrs)
About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and patient-centered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the nursing team in long-term care and skilled nursing. Reporting directly to the RN/LPN Team Leader, the CNA assists with implementing comprehensive resident care plans. The role supports activities of daily living, monitors vital signs, and helps foster a dignified, comfortable, and supportive environment for long-term care residents and skilled rehabilitation patients. This position is scheduled for the evening shift, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, five 8-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours. Holiday coverage is included as scheduled.
Requirements
- Active State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing.
- At least 3 years of clinical CNA experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Strong interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated empathy, emotional objectivity, and flexibility in fast-paced care environments.
- Genuine passion for providing high-quality care to geriatric and rehabilitation populations.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, feeding, skin care, and ambulation.
- Measure and promptly report vital signs, weights, and daily fluid intake and output to the supervising RN/LPN.
- Work with the nursing team to carry out individual plans of care and promptly report changes in resident condition or behavior.
- Follow Universal Precautions, safety protocols, and facility procedures to help maintain a clean and secure environment.
- Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and support resident rights.
- Assist with orienting residents and their families to the facility.
