About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Abilene. The CNA will assist patients with daily activities and provide direct support under the supervision of the nursing staff to ensure comfortable, high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Active CNA certification in the state of Texas
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in rehabilitation or acute care setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility)
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Help transfer and reposition patients safely
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Support the interdisciplinary care team as needed
- Accurately document care provided
