About The Position

Certified Nursing Assistants at Masonicare at Greenridge Place assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care to maximize independence, freedom of choice, and quality of life. The official title for this role is “Residential Care Assistant.” This is a per diem position. No experience is required, but CNA certification is required.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care, including bathing, dressing, ambulating, toileting, meals and nourishment, personal hygiene, transfers, and care of ADL devices.
Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living, including telephone calls, light housekeeping, laundry, escorting and transportation coordination, and mail delivery and correspondence.
Assist residents with self-administration of medications through cueing only.
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical condition and cognitive or emotional status to the ALSA Supervisor or Director of Assisted Living Services, as needed.
Conduct resident room checks and rounds; monitor for environmental safety hazards; record incidents, errors, accidents, and resident-related events.
Assist with dining tasks, including escorting residents, setup and cleanup, and serving meals.
Participate in and support the resident-centered activity program and complete required written documentation concerning resident care and activities during the shift.
Act as a resident advocate.
Follow agency confidentiality policies.
Communicate tactfully and diplomatically in sensitive or emotionally charged situations and follow up with appropriate staff, residents, or others regarding complaints, problems, and concerns.
Act as an ambassador to guests and other off-campus visitors and maintain certifications required for employment.
Perform other duties as required.
