About The Position
A compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is needed for a long-term care assignment. This role focuses on delivering direct patient care and supporting residents with daily living activities while working collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure comfort, dignity, and quality care.
Requirements
- Active CNA certification in South Dakota (or compact eligibility)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible/variable shifts
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Nursing Home setting
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Monitor patient condition and report any changes to nursing staff
- Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and repositioning safely
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care activities
- Offer emotional support and compassionate care to residents and families
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment
