About The Position

Senior Helpers of Melbourne is hiring compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants to provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors in their homes and assisted living communities throughout Melbourne, Palm Bay, Viera, and surrounding Brevard County communities. The role offers flexible scheduling and a variety of shifts, with opportunities for either a few extra hours or a consistent weekly schedule.

Caregivers support clients with personal care, mobility, companionship, meals, light household tasks, errands, and medication reminders. They also assist clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other age-related conditions, document care, and communicate changes in clients’ conditions. The employer describes the work as a way to help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent.

Requirements

• Active Florida CNA certification is preferred; qualified Home Health Aides (HHAs) are also encouraged to apply.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass required AHCA Level 2 background screening.
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional.
• Comfortable using a mobile app for scheduling and documentation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience providing senior care is preferred.
• Active Florida CNA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and fall prevention support.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other age-related conditions.
• Document care provided and communicate changes in client condition.
