About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct resident care in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role helps support residents’ quality of life and assists them with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments. The position may also assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services, and may be cross-trained in Assisted Living. The CNA reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
- Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents daily.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, transportation, and transfers.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside areas, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals, and feed residents as needed.
- Assist with activities and light housekeeping.
- May be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
