About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports residents’ quality of life and helps create peace of mind for residents and their families in a supportive, faith-based community. This is a full-time PM-shift position. The CNA reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. Duties include assisting residents with personal care, maintaining resident rooms, supporting laundry needs, and helping with meals. The position may include cross-training in Assisted Living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State and passing its test.
- Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide residents with daily direct care and basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist with serving meals and feeding residents.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
- May cross-train in Assisted Living.
