About The Position
AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for a six-month evening contract at California State Prison, Corcoran, in Corcoran, California. The position is in the medical department and involves eight-hour shifts, with a 30-minute meal break. The assignment runs from November 23, 2026, through May 23, 2027. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM. The role includes one week of orientation and four to six weeks of on-the-job training. Cerner EHR experience and basic computer skills are highly desired. Pay details are available by contacting the employer.
Requirements
- Active California CNA certification through CDPH.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Complete a background check and obtain facility security clearance.
- Complete a TB test, immunizations, and facility health clearances.
Nice To Haves
- Correctional experience.
- Cerner EHR experience and basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care, vital signs, and activities of daily living.
- Document care accurately and report changes to nursing staff.
- Follow all safety, security, and contraband procedures.
