About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides a safe environment, emotional and social support, and care for residents’ physical needs and comfort in a skilled nursing facility. The CNA performs direct care as assigned, follows each resident’s care plan and supervisor’s direction, and carries out other duties assigned by community representatives. The position requires following health, sanitary, and infection-control policies and the standards established by the community’s administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures. Weekend shifts are needed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Requirements

Hold current nursing assistant certification in good standing on the applicable state registry, or otherwise meet the state’s requirements to work as a Nursing Assistant.
Have a high school diploma or GED, or be actively enrolled in a high school program.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe environment for residents.
Give residents emotional and social support.
Attend to residents’ physical needs and comfort.
Perform direct care in accordance with residents’ care plans and supervisor direction.
Perform other duties as directed by representatives of the community.
Follow health, sanitary, and infection-control policies and established standards of practice.
