About The Position
This position will work at least 4 shifts per 4-week schedule, with at least 2 of these shifts being on weekends. This role offers flexibility and a premium rate of pay. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to facility policy and procedures.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year Nurse Aide Work Experience (6 months or Greater) in Long Term Care or Assisted Living Facility (Required)
- Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
- First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
Nice To Haves
- 1 year Certified Nursing Assistant Experience (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
- Assists with ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety and nutritional needs of residents are met.
- Provides resident care and services to maintain or improve resident functional status to highest practical ability.
- Documents accurately in EMR resident's ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors.
- Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
