About The Position

Mission Hospital is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to serve as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on its General Surgery team. The PCT supports Registered Nurses by providing hands-on, non-medicated patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists with patients’ daily needs, supports monitoring and care plans, and helps promote comfort, dignity, and recovery. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Mission Hospital, part of Mission Health and HCA Healthcare, is located in Asheville, North Carolina. It is a regional tertiary and quaternary care center licensed for 853 beds and is the region’s only trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in North Carolina.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicate with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, patient monitoring, and care plans.
