Certified Nursing Assistant- Surgery Center
About The Position
Bone and Joint is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide high-quality, compassionate care to surgical and procedural patients at its surgery centers. The role works closely with nursing staff in a fast-paced environment and involves assisting patients throughout the facility, helping them get into comfortable positions, and preparing equipment and supplies for use. Duties also include checking vital signs, testing blood sugar, taking blood samples, and performing other preoperative tests. Bone and Joint is an independent organization with orthopedic, pain management, podiatric, physical therapy, and occupational therapy experts and locations throughout Central Wisconsin. Its mission is to be the best place for patients to receive care, employees to work, and physicians to practice medicine.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant certification, or the ability to apply for it.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to surgical and procedural patients while treating them with dignity and respect.
- Work closely with nursing staff to care for patients.
- Help patients move around the facility and reposition them for comfort.
- Assist with preparing equipment and supplies for use.
- Check vital signs, test blood sugar, take blood samples, and perform other preoperative tests.
- Cycle through patient assignments and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
