About The Position
We are seeking a caring and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our senior living community. The CNA/ HHA provides personal care, support with daily living activities, and assistance to residents in alignment with their Individualized Service Plans (ISP). This role functions under the supervision of the Healthcare Coordinator.
Requirements
- Active CNA or HHA certification required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience, preferably with seniors.
- Compassionate, professional, and able to handle emotionally charged situations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, and assist with resident mobility.
- Comfort using basic technology for documentation.
Responsibilities
- Take and record vital signs; report changes in condition to supervising nurse.
- Assist residents with daily living needs including hygiene, dressing, mobility, meals, and medication reminders.
- Support safe transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
- Prepare and submit progress notes in a timely manner.
- Encourage resident engagement and participation in activities.
- Follow infection control, HIPAA, and community policies.
- Attend required in-service trainings and staff meetings.
