Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA, Hospice
About The Position
AccentCare is hiring a full-time hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, hands-on end-of-life care to patients in the Aurora, Naperville, and surrounding areas. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and pays $20–$25 per hour based on experience. Care is provided in patients’ homes and care facilities, with a focus on safety, comfort, dignity, and infection control. The position involves frequent physical activity and occasional driving. Requirements
- Be state-certified as a nurse’s aide and complete required training.
- Pass the agency competency exam with a score of 85% or higher.
- Meet any additional state-specific certification requirements, such as CHHA in California or New Jersey, or CGNA in Maryland.
- Be listed on the state aide registry with a clear record and be eligible to provide care in homes, nursing facilities, or hospitals.
- Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and state-required auto insurance.
- Be able to assist with lifting up to 200 pounds with assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on hospice care, including assistance with personal hygiene, repositioning, and mobility.
- Support patients in their homes or care facilities through walking, standing, reaching, and occasional driving.
- Monitor patient comfort, respond to needs, and assist with activities of daily living while maintaining safety and dignity.
- Adapt to home and facility conditions, including temperature changes, moderate noise, and standard healthcare exposures.
- Follow infection-control and safety protocols.
