About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to join its team at Dixon Correctional Center in Dixon, Illinois. Centurion provides comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. The CNA works under the close direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff to provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals, including assistance with personal hygiene and daily living needs and monitoring vital signs. The hourly pay rate is $22.77. The evening shift is 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification.
- Illinois CNA licensure.
- Active, appropriate certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Training, experience, or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician, or mental health worker.
- One year of experience in an acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under the close direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff.
