About The Position

Gundersen Health System is seeking a CNA for our Neuroscience Unit. This role involves caring for neurosurgery patients and those with other neurological disorders such as spinal surgeries, deep brain stimulators, brain tumors/lesions, aneurysm treatment, lumbar drains, endovascular stroke treatment, seizures, and post traumas. The position is 0.6 FTE, requiring 48 hours bi-weekly, with a 12-hour Day shift (6:30 am – 7 pm). Employees will work every other weekend and three holidays a year.

Requirements

Wisconsin Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

Care for neurosurgery patients and those with other neurological disorders (i.e. spinal surgeries, deep brain stimulators, brain tumors/lesions, aneurysm treatment, lumbar drains, endovascular stroke treatment, seizures, post traumas, and more).
