Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is required
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
• Certified CPR with hands-on training, negative TB test, and a work physical within the year.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to pass required background checks and screenings
• Empathy for the needs of the client
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on client mobility.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Providing care as directed by a nursing supervisor
• Providing care according to the patient's plan of care
• Assist patients with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Subject matter expert in Fall Prevention and Fall Precaution measures
• Monitor and document patients’ health status and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support mobility and assist with transfers and exercises as directed
• Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Follow infection control and safety procedures strictly
