About The Position

UMC HomeWorks, United Methodist Communities’ in-home care staffing team, is hiring per diem Certified Nursing Assistants to serve seniors across South Jersey. CNAs select available shifts and provide resident-centered care, supporting residents’ comfort, independence, and well-being while following individualized care plans. Day, evening, and night shifts are available across Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Atlantic, Cape May, Salem, and Cumberland counties, based on availability. Pay is $24.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience and assignment, with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

A flu vaccine is required for shifts inside a UMC-owned facility; it is not required for shifts based outside a UMC facility. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested. Applicants must be able to produce a negative drug test and may be subject to a background check. Requirements

• Active New Jersey CNA certification.
• At least 6 months of experience in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to produce a negative drug test.
• May be subject to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Step into selected available shifts to help maintain seamless resident care.
• Help residents with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming, and dressing.
• Deliver resident-centered support while following individualized care plans.
• Monitor resident well-being through regular check-ins and proactive assistance.
• Assist with dining, mobility, and other activities that promote comfort and independence.
• Foster meaningful connections with residents and collaborate with teammates to create a positive living environment.

Benefits

• Pay of $24.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience and assignment.
• Shift differentials of $1.00 per hour for evenings, $2.00 per hour for nights, and $4.00 per hour for weekends.
