About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides assistive patient care through regular assignments or delegated tasks under the supervision of an RN. The CNA carries out assigned tasks with reasonable skill and safety in accordance with prevailing nursing practice standards. Care during each shift or visit must follow the physician’s orders, Plan of Care, or Home Health Aide Assignment Sheet.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered state certification to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Provide a copy of current TB results or a Chest X-Ray.
• Provide a copy of current CPR.
• Be flexible and organized, and demonstrate sound judgment in performing the job duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in accordance with the physician’s orders, Plan of Care, or Home Health Aide Assignment Sheet.
• Document all tasks completed.
• Check and document patients’ pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Help patients move in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles, and assist with dressing and grooming.
