About The Position

Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a part-time position, working the 2PM-10PM shift. Park Place of Elmhurst offers a continuum of care, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support. As a member of the Providence Life Services family, the facility is committed to enhancing the lives of its residents. The CNA will provide resident and nursing care according to physician's orders and established standards, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies. Responsibilities include communicating care goals, assisting with admissions, providing personal care, maintaining a pleasant living environment, assisting residents with mobility, documenting changes in condition, giving and receiving shift reports, and measuring vital signs.

Requirements

• Must have a compassionate, empathetic and nurturing personality.
• Must truly have a desire to care for the elderly.
• Must be mature and career minded.
• Must have a Nursing Assistant Certification for the State of Illinois.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.
• Perform all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies.
• Communicate and interpret the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver.
• Assist with the Admissions process and greet residents and family members.
• Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of assigned residents.
• Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for the residents.
• Wear a gait belt to assist residents who are not fully ambulatory.
• Document changes in medical condition to the appropriate nurses on duty.
• Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care is delivered.
• Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.
