About The Position

This position involves providing direct care to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Key responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as well as aiding with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques. The role requires observing and reporting any changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions to the nursing staff. Additionally, the Certified Nursing Assistant will assist with meal service and feeding, maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents, participate in resident activities, and ensure accurate documentation of care and observations. Effective teamwork and communication with residents, families, and staff are essential.

Requirements

Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is required.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living or long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to residents under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate lifting and transfer techniques.
Observe and report changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Assist with meal service and feeding residents as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including changing linens, making beds, and tidying up resident living areas.
Participate in resident activities and socialization opportunities.
Maintain accurate documentation of resident care and observations.
Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
