About The Position

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Minnesota
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete documentation accurately.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and assist patients as needed
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of hospital experience
- Experience with Electronic Medical Systems (Epic)
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, and feeding.
- Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and other basic clinical data in the electronic medical record.
- Monitor patients and report changes in condition or behavior to the RN.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, use of assistive devices, and prevention of falls.
- Maintain patient hygiene, room cleanliness, and infection control standards.
- Assist with transporting patients to procedures, departments, or discharge locations.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs in a timely and courteous manner.
- Set up equipment and supplies for patient care and assist nursing staff with procedures as needed.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and healing environment by following hospital policies and demonstrating professional behavior.
- Participate in shift reports, team meetings, and continuing education as required.
