Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Best Hospice Care of Texas is seeking a dependable, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personalized, patient-centered hospice care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The CNA provides hands-on care to patients in their homes, assisted living communities, and other residential settings, while offering support to patients and their families and collaborating with the interdisciplinary hospice team. The position follows a Monday–Friday work schedule. The organization offers mileage reimbursement and, for eligible full-time employees, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and holiday pay. Requirements
- Current CNA certification meeting Texas state requirements.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism.
- Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude.
- Comfort providing care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospice or home health experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility, repositioning, and range-of-motion exercises as directed.
- Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions to the RN Case Manager.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team to ensure exceptional patient care.
