About The Position
Hickory Creek at Sunset is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who want to turn it into a career. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to providing compassionate care. The program includes free classroom and hands-on training, allowing you to become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon completion and passing the state test, graduates can find employment at any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana. The program also offers pathways for career advancement in nursing.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Completion of the Nurse Aide training program.
- Passing the state testing for CNA certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transportation and feeding assistance.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs, or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Responding to patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing care and companionship.
