Free CNA Training Class
About The Position
Riverwalk Village is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who wish to turn it into a career. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to providing compassionate care to residents. The training is free, including classroom and hands-on instruction, and can lead to becoming a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon completion and passing the state test, graduates will have opportunities within ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with further career advancement pathways in nursing available.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Completion of the Nurse Aide training program and testing.
- Ability to secure a position at one of ASC's Indiana-based communities.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with bathing, dressing and grooming tasks such as hair care, brushing teeth and shaving.
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transporting them to the dining room and assisting them with eating and drinking.
- Repositioning and transferring residents from a bed to a wheelchair or from a wheelchair to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs, such as heart rate and blood pressure, and recording observations.
- Answering patient call lights and assisting in fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing not only care but companionship.
