About The Position
Springs Valley Meadows is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program for individuals looking to turn their caring spirit into a career. This program requires no previous experience and provides free classroom and hands-on training, enabling participants to become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon completion and testing, graduates can find employment at any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with further opportunities for career advancement in nursing.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Ability to complete a 2-week training period, including 30 hours of classroom work and 45 hours of hands-on clinical training.
- Must be willing to work evening shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is not required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transportation and assistance with eating and drinking.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs, or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Answering patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing care and companionship.
