About The Position

This opportunity provides a state-certified, in-house training program to learn how to assist with general nursing care of patients. Applicants interview for a position to join ProHealth Care in a CNA capacity and begin in their selected CNA role after completing the program. The described program requires attendance at all classroom and clinical sessions for three weeks (May 20–June 10). After training, participants must be able to work at least 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) and sign an 18-month commitment upon completion of the CNA program. The CNA receives assignments, reviews patient care plans, and clarifies care needs with appropriate resources. The role supports patient comfort, safety, nutrition, and elimination; assists with collecting and documenting health care data; and reports unusual observations to the RN. Care is delivered in a nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory manner that respects client diversity, autonomy, dignity, and rights. The CNA also maintains and develops job knowledge and skills and completes position-specific orientation and annual competency checklists. The listed rate of pay is $15 per hour. Internal candidates selected for the program must resign from their current position and go through the interview process to be selected and hired into an inpatient nursing unit. Internal candidates must be active employees in good standing and not in an active disciplinary process.
