About The Position

The Certified Nursing Aide provides exceptional, individualized care according to each resident’s care plan. The role supports residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence and preserving dignity, and reports changes in residents’ health status to the clinical team. It also involves building compassionate, positive connections with residents and their families, participating in ongoing learning, and protecting the confidentiality and privacy of resident information. This is a part-time, PRN position on the 2nd shift in Merrillville, Indiana, paying $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Current certification from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional and individualized care as determined by each resident’s care plan.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) while promoting independence and maintaining dignity.
• Report changes in resident health status to the clinical team.
• Connect with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner, creating a lasting and positive experience.
• Attend and participate in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences.
• Comply with all rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
