About The Position
Under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN, the Certified Nurses' Aide performs resident care activities and related non-professional duties to support the specific needs and comfort of older adults and others who need assistance. The role includes helping residents with activities of daily living, assisting with transfers and meals, and reporting changes in eating habits. Services must meet company, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Transfer residents to and from activities and meals according to their individual service plans.
- Serve meals to residents in the dining room or their apartments.
- Record and report changes in residents' eating habits to a supervisor.
- Promote quality services in accordance with company, state, and federal regulations.
