Certified Nurses Aide
About The Position
As a PRN certified nurses aide at Minden Medical Center, you will support the nursing team by helping patients with day-to-day care so their needs are met safely and respectfully. You will provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, communicate observations and patient needs to licensed nursing staff, and help maintain a safe, professional environment while following facility policies. You may float to other units when you are not needed in your home department and take on-call duty as needed. A typical shift starts with receiving report and orienting to the unit’s pace. You will move between patient rooms, attend to comfort, routines, and safety, and check in frequently with the nurse you are paired with. Because this is a PRN position, your schedule may change from week to week, and you may be asked to float or be on call. You will communicate regularly, document as required, and hand off key updates before leaving.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification or Patient Care Tech qualification is required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of hospital or nursing home experience is preferred.
- AHA BLS is preferred.
