Certified Nurse Practitioner - Hospital
About The Position
THE NEUROMEDICAL CENTER is currently looking for a Certified Nurse Practitioner. This role is responsible for directing patient care within hospitals by performing various duties. The practitioner will promptly follow through with physicians’ orders, administer medications as ordered, and adhere to policies and procedures. They will also perform other duties as assigned by the supervising physician or administration. Maintaining patient confidentiality by safeguarding protected health information in accordance with HIPPA regulations is expected. The role involves obtaining screening data prior to examination and documenting this information in the electronic medical record per NMC policy. Additionally, the practitioner will educate patients prior to procedures, obtain screening information for the physician, and relay information between patient and provider as needed. Adherence to the policies and procedures of credentialed hospitals is required when performing duties under established privileges.
Requirements
- Masters degree
- Current NP license in Louisiana
