About The Position

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Certified Nurse-Midwife to join our dynamic team in Davis, CA. This role involves 50% call and 50% clinic duties. The location features a team-based care model offering Obstetrics and midwifery services. The position is part of a collaborative practice that works with a larger group of midwives from a local FQHC. The birthing center currently has 6 birthing rooms, 2 with tubs, and is undergoing expansion to meet community needs. There is also an opportunity for fertility work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing or related field.
• Completion of an accredited midwifery educational program.
• Certified by either the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM).
• Appropriate state licensure.
• Proven experience working as a midwife.
• Basic Life Support (BSL) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and clinical assessment skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Patient and compassionate demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide Obstetrics and midwifery services within a team-based care model.
• Collaborate with a larger group of midwives from a local FQHC.
• Participate in call duties (50% of the role).
• Work in clinic settings (50% of the role).
• Potentially engage in fertility work.
