About The Position

Matrix Providers is hiring a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to provide health care services to Military Service Members and their families at the OB/GYN Clinic and Labor and Delivery Unit at Naval Hospital Jacksonville and/or Naval Branch Health Clinic Mayport, Florida. The position is hourly and paid bi-weekly, with compensation of $56–$58.14 per hour plus $5.09 H&W. Compensation is based on factors including experience, Performance Work Statement requirements, labor market conditions, and wage determination requirements. Clinic services are normally provided Monday through Friday between 0730 and 1800, and at least one Saturday per month between 0600 and 1700. Shifts are scheduled flexibly across operating hours and are generally 8.5 or 10.5 hours, including an uncompensated 30-minute meal break. The HCW typically works a 40-hour week, inclusive of watch-standing, and will not be required to provide more than 160 hours in a four-week period. Work is primarily in the OB/GYN Clinic, with obstetric outpatient care at NBHC Mayport and watch-standing at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Labor and Delivery Unit. Watch-standing is typically a 24-hour period from 0730 to 0730 on a Wednesday or Thursday, averaging twice per month. During watch-standing that overlaps normal clinic duty hours, the HCW continues clinic services and responds to the Labor and Delivery Unit as needed. For watch-standing after normal clinic hours, the HCW remains on-site in Labor and Delivery; a room is available for rest when not providing services. The Certified Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive women’s health and maternity care, manages normal antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, and may train or provide clinical instruction to residents, students, and other staff. The position requires a master’s degree in nursing, graduation from an ACNM-accredited nurse midwife program, AMCB certification, current NRP certification, ACLS and PALS, and an unrestricted state or territorial license. At least one year of full-time outpatient Nurse Midwife experience within the preceding 24 months is required. Benefits include a comprehensive insurance package with health, dental, vision, and life coverage; accrued paid time off; paid holidays; and a 401(k) plan. Matrix Providers is an equal opportunity employer.
