About The Position

Mt Olympus Rehab and Nursing in Salt Lake City, Utah, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to care for residents in a close-knit nursing and rehabilitation setting. The organization prioritizes resident care and aims to improve the lives of residents, their families, and staff. Eligible employees may receive up to $500 per month before taxes through the Nursing Tuition Reimbursement program to attend nursing school. Eligibility requires working part time or full time and completing the first 90 days of employment; no contract is required for this program.

This is a part-time weekend position. CNAs work 8-hour shifts. Day shifts run from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., swing shifts from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and night shifts from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Part-time CNAs work 2–3 days per week. Benefits listed in the posting are available only to full-time employees, not part-time or PRN employees.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA certification in good standing issued by the state of Utah.
• Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
• Be able to make decisions independently when warranted.
• Have knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures.
• Have a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Answer residents' call lights to determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support with activities of daily living, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, and exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to help ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
