About The Position

CoxHealth is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Nurse Assistant Trainee for their Step Down Unit in Branson. This role functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, the individual will provide basic patient care under the direction and supervision of a clinical educator and nursing staff. Duties may include taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, and changing linens. The position also involves obtaining information on patient condition and reporting any changes. A competency assessment will be administered at the end of the training. For qualified candidates, there is a sign-on bonus, front-loaded Paid Time Off, and a relocation bonus. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
• Prior patient care or health care related experience (Preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valuable time management skills
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
• Available for work on a consistent and timely basis
• Conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in the past 3 years OR Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years OR Completed the “fundamentals of nursing” course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program OR Must have Missouri CNA License OR Must have MO CNA Appendix AND MO CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire
