About The Position
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for its Urology Unit at Edgewood Hospital. The role provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN. This is a part-time position with two 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Availability Monday through Friday and participation in a holiday rotation are required.
Requirements
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state where the work is performed.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Completion of applicable state courses.
- Successful completion of the Certified Nurse Assistant exam required for certification.
- Must not be listed on the applicable State Abuse Registry.
- Current CPR for the professional rescuer.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Successful work employment history.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Provide patients with personal care and comfort.
- Help maintain a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.
