About The Position

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a skilled care facility in Queens, New York. This full-time, morning shift position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a long-term care setting. The role involves providing direct patient care, monitoring resident conditions, ensuring safety and comfort, documenting care, assisting with mobility, and adhering to infection control protocols.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant training program.
  • Active New York State Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a nursing home setting.
  • Immunity to Hepatitis B (proof of immunity required).
  • Availability to work every other Saturday and Sunday.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions, including vital signs and overall well-being, to the nursing team.
  • Ensure resident safety and comfort throughout the shift, responding promptly to call lights and resident needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent injury and promote resident independence.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.
