This position provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Duties include taking vital signs, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other assigned tasks. The role involves obtaining information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and reporting any changes. The Nurse Assistant Training Program functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, the trainee will provide basic patient care under the direction and supervision of a clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, duties may include taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties within their scope of practice as directed. While in the clinical setting, the trainee will obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff or clinical educator and report any changes in patient condition. At the end of the training, a competency assessment will be administered to validate learning.
